A challenging opportunity has arisen to lead the remediation team within the environmental business unit of this major blue chip PLC.

As a company they employ over 100,000 staff in offices throughout the world. Within this UK business they employ over 60 staff in the contaminated land and remediation division. These staff are located in 4 strategic offices throughout the UK.

The team offer contaminated land and remediation solutions to the internal land development team and also to external clients including house builders, land-owners and developers. The projects are interesting and varied and value from a few thousand up to several million pounds.

The professional and technical duties will include the development of remediation strategy and costing remediation solutions from initial site investigation and assessment report to preparation of remediation proposals. You will need to liaise with clients and the regulators to gain approval of remediation plans and verification reports. The role will also require preparation of tender and site management documents, project and team management and business development. Candidates will have a minimum of 6 years experience within the contaminated land and remediation sector, ideally from a similar consultancy environment. In addition you will also have a relevant degree (candidates with an MSc or chartership will be considered highly desirable).
