Job: Principle Contaminated Land Consultant, Macdonald & Co

This position is at a large established environmental consultancy with an excellent reputation. They have an international presence and a commanding hold on the British Environmental market, with 350 staff in ten offices in the UK.

The contaminated land division contains seventy people located in three UK offices.  This role is in the London contaminated land team, made up of twenty staff. 

This company operates an excellent flexible benefits scheme with regard to holiday, pension and private health care. There is a significant training budget for professional staff development.

The role will require you to act as a project manager for a variety of land quality assessment projects. This will include extensive interaction with Local Authorities, housing developers and blue chip companies. They will also be expected to contribute to business development activities within the land and water team.   

A successful candidate will have more than 8 years experience gained within an environmental consultancy or civil engineering consultancy, you will have extensive project management experience and strong leadership skills as you will be responsible for the mentoring of junior staff. 

You will be a chartered member of an appropriate organisation and hold a BSc in Environmental Science, Geography, Geology or Civil Engineering and an MSc in a suitable subject. A current driving licence is essential and language skills are desirable.
