Job: Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant, Land Quality, Macdonald & Co

This position is at a large established environmental consultancy with an excellent reputation. They have an international presence and a commanding hold on the British Environmental market, with 350 staff in ten offices in the UK. The contaminated land division contains seventy people located in three UK offices.  This role is in the London contaminated land team, made up of twenty staff.

This role provides an opportunity to work on a wide variety of large and small scale contaminated land assessment and remediation projects and will provide support to other parts of the business. Daily tasks will include conducting risk assessments, client management and responsibility for the technical management of projects.

The role will involve mentoring junior staff and shaping the team for the future therefore strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well in a team environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for you to influence the development of a growing team as well as to work closely with the Group Director.

A successful candidate will have more than 7 years experience gained within a consultancy environment and specific knowledge of conducting contaminated land assessment and remediation projects you will have a track record in business development activities.  

You will probably hold an MSc in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Chemistry or an equivalent discipline and will have strong project management skills as well as demonstrating an ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
